These sterling silver dandies will suit anyone with french cuffs for formal events all winter long. The design of these cufflinks was inspired by thoughts of the city of Chicago; it's buildings and fashion history.

Ruby Ring

Ruby, 18ktY, 18ktW. 2006
"Among the coloured gemstones, ruby is by far the most valuable, exceeded in price per carat only by the rarest pink, blue and green diamonds." Understanding Jewellery, Bennett and Mascetti, 1996, British Library Cataloguing in Publication Data, UK.
This ring was a commission for a significant other designed to simply keep the stone as the focal point and to suit the style of the recipient.

Emerald Rings

Emerald, 18kt. 2006
Emerald, diamonds, 18kt, palladium. 2007
These rings were both commissions made for significant others. In each situation the customer had some idea of what they wanted and we worked together through drawings to determine the final design. The top image is a man's engagement and wedding ring, and below is a woman's anniversary ring.

Opening Reception December 2nd

I will be at the reception for this years' show at Zilberschmuck to meet the other artists. I am looking forward to seeing the pieces accepted into this event, which are all various interpretations of the word "bond". Also on display will be the work of Zilberschmuck's regular roster of artists - some absolutely stunning jewellery.

Earrings for Winter

Saturday November 27th Makers' Market Hamilton

This week I am getting work ready for the first Makers' Market Holiday show this Saturday at the St.Paul's Anglican Church in Westdale Hamilton. These are not church events but rather community events that the churches graciously host with the Makers' Market. The backdrop of a beautiful building makes the holiday shows have a very warm and friendly vibe. The Makers' Market events have been a great connection for me to meet other creative people in Hamilton.
Oak leaf earrings, sterling silver studs.
While in Toronto yesterday dropping off and picking up items to galleries and clients I stopped by the AGO gift shop to check in on things. These are some of my one of a kind oak leaf motif items that are available there. The annual members shopping week has just begun, the lovely and odd Shary Boyle exhibit is still on display and a Henry Moore previously unseen sculptures exhibit is now on too.

Hamilton Spectator October 28th

Jewellery from the AGH Fall Art Sale was featured in the Style section of the The Hamilton Spectator ('the spec') October 28th. As part of my Music series of mens cuff links I made a pair of these cassette links (there are only three pairs in existence to date). Always great to have some advertising - thank-you to both the AGH and the spec!

Double Branch Necklace, silver.
The Branch series was started this past August while I was preparing for the Queen West Art Crawl (QWAC) in September. The show is always great because it is in Trinity Bellwoods Park with its giant trees and fabulous neighbourhood of art interested folk.
